Delivery Charges

All shipments will be made by the most economical means.  However, in those instances where it is deemed appropriate to use a carrier such as TNT Express or FedEx, an appropriate delivery charge will be applied to each shipment to cover costs of freight and insurance.

Emgrid Australia Pty Ltd reserve the right to select the most appropriate method of delivery taking into account the type of goods, value of shipment and appropriate dangerous goods regulations.  Should there be a possibility of higher charges being levied, we will endeavor to confirm, prior to shipment, that the additional costs will be accepted.

For deliveries within Australia of class 3 dangerous goods (flammable liquids) a surcharge of $20.00 will be applied to each shipment, and for class 6.1 (toxic substances) a surcharge of $75.00 will apply.  Any other additional charges imposed by transport companies relating to the shipment of dangerous goods will be invoiced at cost.  All orders placed for material subject to these regulations will only be accepted by Emgrid Australia Pty Ltd and supplied on the basis that these conditions be understood and accepted.

Dangerous Goods

The importation of dangerous goods into Australia in many cases will incur additional charges imposed by the airlines in accordance with I.A.T.A. regulations. These charges are often very high, and are beyond the control of Emgrid Australia Pty Ltd. Consequently, confirmation will be required that the additional costs will be accepted prior to an order being placed with our suppliers.

For deliveries within Australia of class 3 dangerous goods (flammable liquids) a surcharge, (in addition to our normal delivery charge) of $50.00 will be applied to each shipment, and for class 6.1 (toxic substances) a surcharge of $75.00 will apply. For radioactive substances, transport can only be done by designated and registered companies. Charges for these services will be invoiced at cost, which can typically exceed A$700.00. Any other additional charges imposed by transport companies relating to the shipment of dangerous goods will be invoiced at cost. All orders placed for material subject to these regulations will only be accepted by Emgrid Australia Pty Ltd and supplied on the basis that these conditions be understood and accepted.
